We tend to think of November as the month of Thanksgiving – the month of Black Friday and Cyber Monday – the beginning of the holiday season. But another important November milestone is “Giving Tuesday” which falls on November 27th. It’s a good time to think about giving at the beginning of a season full of receiving.

The folks at Jerry Kelly Heating & Air Conditioning take “Giving Tuesday” to heart because we welcome opportunities to give back to our communities. This past September you may have noticed our green vans are now purple in support of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® – one of the world’s largest events to raise awareness and funding for those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

What is Alzheimer’s disease?

Alzheimer’s is a progressive type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking, and behavior. It eventually weakens the body’s immune system as well and increases the likelihood of death related to a complication of infection.
It is estimated that in 2018 there are 5.7 million Americans of all ages living with Alzheimer’s, and nearly 1 in 10 people over age 65 are struggling with it.

How Jerry Kelly Heating & Air Conditioning gives back

Our green vans are purple, and we donate $1 for every service call we complete to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® to help support research and care for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. This year’s walk-in St. Charles was the fifth year in a row Jerry Kelly Heating & Air Conditioning sponsored and participated in this worthy event – one of many that take place all around the country and the world.
